Guys,
When I effort to do Quad Channel DDR4, the organisation will not post. Currently, I have an 8GB Sticks in Slot one, 3, v. When I place a stick into slot vii, the organisation won't post. If I remove one from iii or one, it will post. Currently able to utilise 24GB/32GB. I opened a back up instance and they told me to re-seat my CPU and check my power supply... not impressed. I see BIOS .162 floating around the forum not sure if that would help.
Also to note, I have moved the DIMMs around to different sockets, I had 1 that showed up in socket 3 as 4GB, swapped socket 5 and 3, both now show 8GB.
{one}System Specs (CPU/Mem)
*MSI X99 SLI PLUS MOBO
*Shipped on BIOS 1.30, currently running ane.fifty
*Intel i7 5820K
*Crucial 8GB DDR4-2133 x 4

I have taken the post-obit steps:
1. Upgrade BIOS to ane.five
ii. Reset BIOS to Default Country
three. Reset CMOS
iv. Moved the DIMMs to unlike slots, including the ane I cannot place in the system since it won't post with a quaternary DIMM.
Every bit noted, for some time, I was non able to get more than 20GB to testify up in the BIOS, only subsequently re-seating and moving DIMMs around was it finally able to see 3 x 8GB sticks. Are you able to requite me the errata for the 162 BIOS as well as the "Fix/Change" list I'one thousand all for giving it a shot, just desire to know what I'thousand getting into.

I was not able to go my system to boot from said USB Key. Funny enough, I tin get it to kick to my Windows viii Install Flash Bulldoze, and my AMD Arrangement as well boots from BOTH, oddly enough. Is there a fashion to flash via Windows? I too pulled all the retentivity, installed into slots 1, 3, 5, 7 1 at a time, saving BIOS each fourth dimension I installed a new stick, rotated the "not working" i into slot i, and works fine... and then this isn't a retentivity consequence.
I also had asked for a list of "fixes" in the 162 BIOS so I tin assistance gauge if it will resolve my event or non.

BIOS was upgraded, CMOS Cleared, and Memory installed one by i into slots 1,three,5,7.. once retentivity was placed into slot 7, the system would no longer mail service.

But 2, 4, 6, 8 don't have quad channel.
Your slot 7 might have some trouble, better RMA information technology.

Well, today, I pulled the arrangement apart for the third fourth dimension, no aptitude pins were obvious, put the system back together, works great, except for slot seven. Feels like a software issue. I have attempted to work with support, merely they were less than helpful, wonder if I should contact newegg?
